The Category manager is involved in designing and implementing the short & long-term sales strategy (GTM) by exploring growth drivers and managing sustainable/circular commercial projects to gain market share.
He/she plays a supervisory role, ensuring that all operations run smoothly
Market knowledge and implementation of sustainable sales strategies of my sport:
Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth (external)
Identify & summarize Country competitors' market trends (external 360°) and detect product/services growth opportunities in collaboration with zone commercial manager and local teams, (Customer behavior trends, competitive analysis, circular services as second life/repair/rental, market place …)
Write the sport commercial policy and my economical projection (BP) multi channels for 3 years, in link with the country project and sport entity master plans
Build my yearly activation plan by sport and by period attached to the country and zone activation plan
Collaborate with the marketing team by proposing initiatives to enhance brand presence in the market of my sport(s)
Complete the 360° (3 P) local offer by sport (passion brand+OIB), if necessary, by external suppliers (communication with zone & sport entity)& the country purchases should respect “AMI/OIB” Local Offer Quality Requirements”
Control the quality of the product's information (translation, SPID ID card OIB+passion brand, pictures…)
Ensure the availability of the good stock at the good moment at the good place by collaborating with the availability team
Respect the legal frame (purchase, pricing) and if necessary i handle a product withdrawal
Coordinating and supporting sales teams:
Identify and report a precise & qualitative sport(s) major needs to my Country commercial manager
Lead the development of significant commercial solutions to attack new & specific market segments to conquer market share. ( key cities, key practices, pro-shop… )
Lead the country range choices with stores ( best local offer, Circular services, AI offer)
Launch the business season with all the stores by adapting the format to the local needs (physically and/or remotely by shorter format, at country/region/city level)
Manage the business commercial highlights : “activation plan” (stores visits, weekly newsletter, the blog of my sport…)
Train all new Department managers on the country sport strategies, all year long according to local needs (physically and/or remotely by shorter format)
Identify and build a network of Product referent trainers (referent week validation), ensure the availability of the training content in the local language & animate, each season, the teammate products competency : PRE “propose the right equipment” (training planning, training rate…)
Forecast & analyze sales performance indicators of my sport(s)
Report to country & zone stakeholders during S&OE, MBR, QBR by providing dashboards with indicators linked to decided strategies
Write and propose to stakeholders a business action plan in case of performance alert by collaborating with cross teams (stores, supply, marketing, digital….)
Follow and manage the customer review for my sport
